Botanical Heights, previously known as McRee Town, has a long history that comes back on itself. Initially plotted out by the French in 1769 was build up to be vibrant central St. Louis neighborhood in 1900s but then fell into urban decay for several decades. In the past 15 years it has been one of the most redeveloped neighborhoods in St. Louis, now with an electric mix of old charm and new. It has a vibrant restaurant scene, award winning Montessori school, and is 5 minutes from everywhere you would want to be.
